I’m not a good writer, I’ve never been. I remember I used to write mini stories when I was a kid always struggling to finish them, and play with our family video camera.
In photography I found my freedom of speech, a way to write things visually.
STUART FRANKLIN :
“Before anything else, the image is seen in our society as the illustration of an idea or of a text. Literature has dominated our culture. Things are changing but we need a little more time to impose on the business world a visual point of view, put photography at the same level as text.”
ROBERT FRANK :
“When people look at my pictures, I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of poem twice”
Ernst Haas :
“We can write the new chapters in a visual language whose prose and poetry will need no translation.”
