I’m not sure if you are familiar with the hashtag #trypod dear reader. You might have seen it flash by while surfing online. I did, thought it was misspelled and it meant to say Tripod, so I figured that some kind of new super tripod was released and trending online…
#trypod actually stands for Try Podcast. People are sharing the podcasts they listen to with #trypod on Twitter and Facebook for Podcast Unawareness month.
I think podcasts are a great way to receive information, hear different stories and discover something new. Plus, you can be doing something else while listening to a podcast; driving your car running, cleaning etc. something you can’t really do while you read an article on your computer or on your phone.

There are a few ways to listen to podcasts on your phone, depending on wether you’re on IOS or Android. Both systems have podcast apps. I’m on iOS and use an app called Overcast. I am subscribed to some podcasts and every time there’s new episode out, it gets uploaded automatically.
I would recommend the following podcasts on photography and creativity:
- The Candid Frame
- Lenswork
- A Small Voice
- The Photo Show
- Hit the Streets with Valerie Jardin
- Unmistakable Creative
If you haven’t already, check them out, I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for!
Thanks for stopping by and a wonderful weekend to you!

Nice weekend to you and your family! Ha that guy has a nice swather and suspicious look 🙂
He may have been suspicious of me but i was too quick and smiley:)
thank you for recommendation Yuri !
i’m doing this almost every evening just i watch a photog vlogs on youtube. there are a few very informative and interesting. there are some good sponsored but absolutely empty in term of information.
“on the road” – documentary films about photography
“the art of photography”
“the candid frame” – you mentioned it already
“bigheadtako” – about film photography, old cameras, many updates (but sponsored and i don’t like this)
occasionally right now when i read your post – i’m watching (again) the “Memories of a dog” – about Diado Moriyama – i think that he one of my fav photographers.
Yes, i watch a few videos as well. “Art of photography” with Ted Forbes is probably my favourite at the moment. I’d like to check out “On the road”, “Candid frame” is cool. I watched some videos from BHtako but he only talks about gear and its not interesting to me. I also haven’t seen the Moriyama film – should be amazing i guess… Thanks for your tips Victor!
Very welcome Yuri !!
Cool list, will try them. Thanks for sharing them, Yuri, and have a great weekend!
