Getting to know Darktable

Hi guys. I would just like to share my first thoughts on using Darktable. I mentioned in one of my previous posts that I was finished with Lightroom and I was trying out this new open source software Darktable. It has been a couple of weeks and I am still learning. In some ways the interface […]Read Post ›

Another attempt

Another attempt at sequencing the images within a certain theme. The idea is there, of course this is only the beginning and needs to be investigated deeper. Welcome to Neverland… The idea for this little project lies in the refusal to grow up. Eternal childhood and escapism go hand in hand with creativity and photography […]Read Post ›

One day at the museum

I would like to share some photos that I made a few days ago when my oldest son an I visited the main museum in Montpellier. Musée Fabre was founded in 1825. In 2003 it underwent a 61.2 million euro renovation, which was completed in January 2007. This year it celebrated the 10 year renovation […]Read Post ›

End of January

Photos from a recent walk in Montpellier, France. We have had some bad weather at the end of January. Grey, rainy days. Not much light to work with so paying more attention to subjects, patterns and also trying something different. Embracing the restriction of shooting conditions may or may not lead you to a new path […]Read Post ›

On tilted screen, feather smoke and a cross

I am going to continue to share my thoughts on the Fuji X70. It is not a review or some kind of promotional post. For some of you who have not read my previous blog post, I recently switched from DSLR Canon 650D to a more compact and more practical Fujifilm X70. Everything mentioned here […]Read Post ›

A window

I had a window. Approximately an hour and a half window. I dropped the kids off at school, popped over to the bank, then the post office. I was itching to get the camera out of my pocket, forget everything else for 90 minutes, truly open my eyes and get into the photography zone.

I love both!

I am still undecided about wether I should stick to B&W OR colour. I seem to long for that consistent look and feel of my photos. Surely, that can only be achieved by sticking to one OR the other?

The result?

Elaborating on something heard on a recent photo podcast: People often say, it’s become so easy now. You have your digital camera with LCD screen. You take a photo and can immediately check the result on screen. But are you seeing the result? I think its an important question to ask.

Street tales

Yesterday was good. Very good. It was really hot but enough of me complaining about the heat every time… I had a good walk. I walked for about an hour and a half in the morning. I went to the city centre, again.

First Zine “City Web”

A few weeks ago I finished making my first ever photography zine that is now available for public. I made it with the Bookwright software through Blurb.
