Passing the torch

From today, France is on quarantine. The state of emergency due to the Covid-19 virus is all around Europe. I still have to go to work in the mornings. All food supplies shops remain open and as I work in a bakery, I’m no different. Bakeries in France are close to religion and probably the […]Read Post ›

Time

The most important photographs I will take will always be of my family and loved ones. Time is our worst enemy. Cherish those moments as they will vanish too quick… Grab a camera and make photos. My Oliver is already 9… That magic tool that stops time is in your hands. Use it! Thanks for […]Read Post ›

The result?

Elaborating on something heard on a recent photo podcast: People often say, it’s become so easy now. You have your digital camera with LCD screen. You take a photo and can immediately check the result on screen. But are you seeing the result? I think its an important question to ask.

Home ghosts

This little post will be a bit different. All the photos are taken inside our apartment so it’s not “street” but who cares right 🙂

Alter ego

It’s about something I heard on one of photography podcasts. The guest photographer was Chris Floyd – a British photographer and filmmaker who is best known for portraits of celebrities.

Street tales

Yesterday was good. Very good. It was really hot but enough of me complaining about the heat every time… I had a good walk. I walked for about an hour and a half in the morning. I went to the city centre, again.

August picks

I don’t want to say these are the last photos of summer because as far as the weather goes here in South of France, summer is very much still present and will be here for another month probably… However, here are some images I picked as personal favourites from August.

First Zine “City Web”

A few weeks ago I finished making my first ever photography zine that is now available for public. I made it with the Bookwright software through Blurb.

July picks

For the best part of July I was shooting with my DSLR. I wrapped the strap around my wrist so I had to only bring the camera to my eye to compose a shot. This resulted in a more fluid experience in comparison to having the camera around your neck.

эрisdп down

Yuri Thank you for stopping by and till very soon Mostly I wanted to make this blog post a little different and have fun really. We take ourselves too seriously too often 🙂 Well, I picked these 3 shots from my trip to Arles and flipped them. Do they work upside down or not? You […]Read Post ›
